Us and the World
In 2008, a series called The Arrivals was launched on the internet, exposing the truth behind the many things that have gone wrong in this world of ours, and shedding a new light on this age we Muslims call The End of Times aka Akhir Zaman. Basing their arguments and evidences on The Qur'an, the ahadith, the analyses of the signs of Qiyamah, modern history and current affairs put forth by Maulana Imran Hosein and the research that they have done, the series spread like wildfire, particularly amongst Muslims, and has since launched two other series of videos called The Divine Book and Phase 3.
While they were many who dismissed it as a conspiracy theory, there were many more, particularly us youth who unknowingly are in a state of confusion and aimlessness, who saw truth in their message and took it upon themselves to spread the message and raise the awareness in many different ways. Some masjid youths in Singapore even held screenings of this series and our fortnightly usrah series Y.O.U.R. Night was inspired by it.
However, while watching this series, do bear in mind that it is recommended for you to do some research on your own, preferably under the guidance of someone more learned, such as an Ustaz or a Shaykh as the creators of this series are human and are not free from faults.

for your Sustainer (Allah s.w.t.) has ordained that you shall worship none but Him. And do good unto [your] parents. Should one of them, or both, attain to old age in your care, never say "Ugh" to them or scold them, but [always] speak unto them with reverent speech,
and spread over them humbly the wings of thy tenderness, and say: "O my Sustainer! Bestow Your grace upon them, even as they cherished and reared me when I was a child!"

Backbiting
Surah Al-Hujurat, Verses 12-13:
O you who believe, let not a people ridicule [another] people; perhaps they may be better than them; nor let women ridicule [other] women; perhaps they may be better than them. And do not insult one another and do not call each other by [offensive] nicknames. Wretched is the name of disobedience after [one's] faith. And whoever does not repent - then it is those who are the wrongdoers.
O you who believe, avoid much [negative] assumption. Indeed, some assumption is sin. And do not spy or backbite each other. Would one of you like to eat the flesh of his brother when dead? You would detest it. And fear Allah ; indeed, Allah is Accepting of repentance and Merciful.
