PROFILE OF DR ABDULLAH HAKIM QUIICK

Abdullah Hakim Quick was born in the United States of America and accepted Islam in Canada in 1970. He pursued his study of Islam at the Islamic University of Madinah in Saudi Arabia where he graduated and received an Ijaza from the College of Da’wah and Islamic Sciences in 1979. He later completed a Masters Degree and a Doctorate in African History at the University of Toronto in Canada. His thesis was an analysis of the early life of Sheikh ‘Uthman Dan Fodio, a great West African Scholar, Mujaahid and social activist.

Shaykh Abdullah has served as Imam, teacher and counselor in the USA, Canada and the West Indies. For three years he contributed to the religious page of Canada’s leading newspaper. He has traveled to over 55 countries on lecture, research and educational tours.

Presently he is a Senior Lecturer at The True Dawn Institute (Islamic Training & Development) in Cape Town and a member of the Muslim Judicial Council, Cape Town, South Africa. Shaykh Abdullah is also the Director of the Discover Islam Centre (Cape Town) and Ameer of the Dawah Coordinating Forum of South Africa.

Todays world is in need of innovative rethinking based on original, authentic sources. Dr Abdullah Hakim provides an example of this new, progressive thinking.

The Zahras went for the episode 3 of Cakap Pasal Remaja at SIH Audi, Muis. It was held on the 5th of December, 09. Alhamdullilah, the Zahras benefited a lot from watching it. and following all the 3 episodes of CPR. Syabas to CPR team! Pihak Moral Human Development Society, MHDS, akan mengadakan Pesantren Kilat buat julung julung kalinya di Singapura! Anda pasti tidak pernah dengar bukan "Pesantren" di Singapura???

Inilah masanya untuk anda raih peluang ini menghadirkan diri bagi sesi perkhemahan yang akan berjalan sepanjang 7 hari 6 malam di Masjid Petempatan Melayu Sembawang. Perkhemahan ini dibuka untuk remaja berusia 12 - 21tahun.

Tujuan kami mengadakan Pesantren Kilat ini semata-mata untuk mencari keredhaan Allah dengan menyampaikan ajaran Islam (ilmu Fiqh, Tauhid & Tasawuf) secara menyeluruh kepada remaja Islam kita. Dengan mengadakan Pesantren Kilat ini, kami dapat mendidik anak-anak remaja tentang Islam dan pengamalannya.

Dalam program Pesantren Kilat ini juga, kami akan mengadakan aktiviti aktiviti lasak dan juga riadah, seperti acara bersenam beramai-ramai, perlawanan Amazing Race, permainan bola dan bermacam-macam lagi. Jangan sesekali lepaskan peluang ini, ia pasti dapat memanfaatkan cuti sekolah anak-anak anda..~!

NEMC IFTAR & NOP 09'

Salam Sisters=)
NEMC iftar was held at En-Naeem this year,
and some of the Zahras volunteered to help out.
We even had a great time mingling around with the small kids.

After RYC, it was NOP!
held on 12to13 Sept 09 @ masjid sultan.
All youths around Singapore from all different clusters come together at this one event, one night, NIGHT OF POWER!
and YES it was POWER indeed!
Of course, greater ukhuwah bonds were formed.
Ativities on that night includes:

CPR was a mark in the event too because it was awesome. The skit touched a lot of hearts, thus, hearing a lot of cries in each of us in the auditorium.
Good Job to those behind the scenes in the preparation of CPR & the casts.

Plus a blast one! thanks to those who came for this event.
And also to all the youth volunteers who've worked hard in
sacrificing your precious time and effort in planning for this camp
and helping out on the camp itself.
Semoga Allah membalas semua amal dan kebaikanmu. Amin.
Congrats to the other clusters too because their RYC was a blast one too!
Well, afterall it doesnt matter which RYC Cluster you went for,
but the most important thing was that,
you've flled up your time during Ramadhan with something beneficial and also,
you had widen your social circle, creating more ukhuwah between Muslims.
From strangers to friends and now to one FAMILY!=)
